Three steps from challenge to unlock

Paste the challenge, Calculate into your account, spend one prepaid credit. SFD returns in seconds in the panel or Windows desktop app.

  1. Paste your offline challenge

    Paste the full offline challenge block from your diagnostic tool (often labelled SFD or SecurityAccess).

  2. Calculate → member panel

    Sign in or create an account. Buy a single token or a pack under Credits if your balance is empty.

  3. Get your SFD unlock code

    Generate in the panel (or desktop app). Copy the token back into your scan tool.

Quick answers about SFD, SFD2 and delivery

What is SFD?
SFD (Schutz vor Fremd-Diagnose, generation 1) is the original VAG security scheme that prevents third-party diagnostic tools from changing protected coding without authorization. sfdcode generates valid SFD unlock tokens in 30–60 seconds for €12.
What is SFD2 and why is it more expensive?
SFD2 is the second-generation scheme on newer VAG vehicles. sfdcode sources a valid unlock token from our supplier network and emails it to you within 24 hours. The €200 price covers the manual operator work and supplier cost.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Both SFD and SFD2 unlock tokens can be purchased as a guest. Just provide an email address for delivery.
Which brands and modules are supported?
All current VAG brands (Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda, SEAT, MAN, Bentley) and any UDS module address (01–FF). Common modules include engine (01), transmission (02), ABS (03), cluster (17) and gateway (19).
How is the unlock token delivered?
For SFD: on-screen, as a TXT file, as a QR code, and by email — all within 60 seconds of payment. For SFD2: by email within 24 hours once our operators source it.
How long is an unlock token valid?
Each token matches one specific offline challenge from your ECU. Under typical VAG diagnostic workflows, the challenge/response pair is commonly usable for about 90 minutes from when the challenge was generated — always follow your scan tool if it shows a countdown or expiry. If the control unit reboots, you start a new SecurityAccess flow, or the challenge changes, generate a new challenge and request a new token. The same pairing rules apply to SFD2 once the token email arrives.
