OBDeleven combines a Bluetooth dongle with guided workflows for coding long-adaptations.
When Volkswagen Group rolled out SFD, many adaptations moved behind challenge-response gates — OBDeleven surfaces those prompts but cannot magically bypass cryptography.
Typical OBDeleven flow
Connect and authenticate to the target ECU.
Navigate to the adaptation or calibration that shows an SFD lock.
Trigger generation / export of the offline challenge text.
Copy that challenge into sfdcode guest checkout for the correct SFD generation.
Paste the returned unlock token where OBDeleven expects it and confirm.
Re-read adaptations to verify the ECU accepted the token.
Mobile caveats
Bluetooth latency matters on marginal RF links — if the challenge read fails, reposition the dongle.
OBDeleven cannot conjure tokens offline from thin air; connectivity is still required to reach sfdcode.
Always screenshot errors — German and English strings differ.
